Biographical Note

Peter Dines was born in Braintree, Essex, England, and attended grammar schools in St. Albans, Luton and Norwich. He studied German, English and Education at Nottingham UIniversity, where he also gained his doctorate in comparative literature. In 1973 he moved to Germany and has been a member of staff at Ludwigsburg University of Education since then; first as a Lektor, later as a lecturer and director of the Department of International Affairs. He has numerous scholarly publications and has worked as an author for the following publishers of school textbooks: VLLA, Schöningh, Klett, Schrödel and Langenscheidt-Longman.
