Accommodation

Rooms are available for international students in the students' village in, adjacent to the University. The rental charge is approx.1.330,-- €. per semester. The rental period is 6 months. Rent contracts run from Oct. 1st to 31st March (winter semester) and from April 1st to September 30th (summer semester). Rental contracts for shorter periods are unfortunately not possible. You should take this into consideration when you are deciding whether to rent a room from Student Services or to look for one on the open market. The University itself is unfortunately not able to assist in the search for accommodation outside the students' village.

The following must be supplied by you:

- Bed linen (including duvet and pillow)

- Cooking utensils

As these items are relatively cheap in Germany, we recommend buying them here rather than transporting them across half of Europe! Bedding can be rented for €30 from the caretaker.

The International Office assumes automatically that students who are registered here by their home universities will require a room in the students' village. However, if you prefer to look for private accommodation you should inform the International Office of this by 15th July (for the winter semester) or 15th January (for the summer semester).
