Baden-Württemberg Scholarship |

In 2010 the foundation Landesstiftung
Baden-Württemberg gGmbH is publishing details
of the Baden-Württemberg Scholarship for students attending the state
universities (research universities, universities of applied science,
pedagogical studies, music, and fine arts, and universities of co-operative
education). The aim of the programme is to promote the international exchange
of qualified German and non-German students. Ludwigsburg University of Education will be participating in this scheme
and offering a number of semester / year scholarships of €400,- per month. Participating Institutions Students from the following partner universities of
Ludwigsburg University of Education may apply for a scholarship: Victoria University Melbourne, Australia Eligibility To be eligible for the programme students must: - be registered full-time with their university A knowledge of German is desirable but not essential (please speak
with your international office adviser if you are in doubt about this). Application procedure and information Students are entitled to apply for scholarship places published by
their university. Normally your Office of International Affairs will be
responsible for organising the selection procedure. Scholarship applications for 2010-11 must be submitted to the
universities by no later than 31.03.2009. Scholarship Applications Scholarship applications must include the following documents: - letter of application, including study details and formal curriculum
vitae
Selection Process Candidates will be shortlisted by their university in consultation
with Ludwigsburg University of Education. The results of the shortlisting procedure and the list of applicants are
then passed on to a Central Scholarship Commission made up of delegates from
the universities, the Landesstiftung and the
Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts. From there the
selected applications are submitted to the Landesstiftung
for the final decision. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by the
partner universities. Obligations Acceptance of a scholarship binds the candidate to enrolment at the
university in question, to the dedicated pursuit of his/her chosen course of
study, and to attendance at Landesstiftung
functions. On completion, scholars are required to write a short report (max.
5 sides of A4) of their impressions and experiences during their stay.
Duplicate copies should be submitted to their Baden-Württemberg host
university prior to returning home. They are then passed on to the Ministry
of Science, Research and the Arts in its capacity as project co-ordinator for
the Landesstiftung. The reports are kept by
the Landesstiftung and documented
appropriately. Information on the form and content

Landesstiftung
Baden-Württemberg gGmbH (Baden-Württemberg Foundation) The Landesstiftung was formed from the
Landesbeteiligungen Baden-Württemberg GmbH in 2000. It
fosters charitable projects with the common aim of promoting the future
potential of Baden-Württemberg. Particular emphasis is placed on educational
initiatives and science and research projects. Initial examples are
programmes approved by the Advisory Board for Internet and computer
competence, research in the field of nutrition, food safety and consumer
protection, a photonics centre, financial support for vocational education,
and the Baden-Württemberg Scholarship. Future and key technologies, human
capital, internationalisation, media competence, social learning, youth, family
