Every semester before the period of lecture starts, the International Office offers a Welcome program free of charge including a German language course to all international students.
This Welcome program is mandatory, so every international student is expected to participate.
In case you cannot arrive on the official day for moving in, please contact us via e-mail (international(at)ph-ludwigsburg.de ).
During the Welcome Weeks, you will meet nice people, take interesting trips, have some evenings out and you will get a lot of important information about your studies. You may freshen up your knowledge of German and get more fluent even before the lectures start, and you will certainly find the right level for you as we offer at least 3 or 4 classes at different levels.
During the whole programme, our tutors will look after you and answer all the questions you might have about living and studying at Ludwigsburg.
The programme and the German classes usually begin right after the official day for moving into your room/arrival day. They might extend from 10 up to 20 days according to the start of the period of lectures. Normally they start the day after the official arrival date and finish the Saturday before classes begin. You will find the new, current dates for the upcoming semester here on our homepage, or in one of the information packages we will send to you after you have completed the application process.
NB: for regular and successful attendance of both Welcome Program and Language course you will get 3-4 ECTS for your transcript of records!
