Closed stacks

Books that have been published before 1970 (about 17% of our holdings) are kept in the closed stacks. In our catalogue these books are marked “Magazin”.

If you want to borrow one of these books please write down the shelfmark and ask one of the librarians working at the loans desk to get this book for you. Usually the book is fetched within the next few minutes and you can borrow this book or use it in the reading rooms.

From 18.00 onwards on weekdays and on Saturdays from 15.00 books cannot be fetched because there is only one person working on the loans desk.
