Things to do
before you leave home

I Students' village

If you are taking accommodation in the students' village, you will receive a letter from the International Office telling you what your address there is. Before you leave home you should inform the caretaker when you are likely to be arriving at the students' village, so that you can pick up your key. You should certainly try to arrive during the caretaker's office hours.

In the case of problems please contact Ms. Menges of Student Services.

II Learning agreements

You should have consulted your studies tutor at your home university and should be in possession of a Learning Agreement issued to you by your home university. Remember: it is your right to have the courses you have attended in Ludwigsburg recognised by your home university, provided those courses were entered in your Learning Agreement. 

If difficulties arise with your Learning Agreement (e.g. courses stated in it produce timetable clashes), this is no cause for anxiety. The Learning Agreement can be altered subsequently with the permission of your home university and the university here. 

III Registration

In order to be able to study in Ludwigsburg, you must register at the University as a student. This is done shortly after your arrival in Ludwigsburg. To be able to register here, you need to bring one or two things with you from home:

- 2 passport photos

- Proof that you have health insurance 

(EU-students may need the E 111/E128-form)
