INVITE 2.0 builds on the successful work of its predecessor, the INVITE project, and takes it a step further: to promote greater internationalisation across all teacher training programmes, to provide new international learning and practical experiences, and to ensure that teacher training prepares students for the challenges of a diverse, interconnected and digital society.
We have several key outcomes:
To sustainably expand international cooperation in our partner countries.
To embed mobility periods and international modules in all teacher training programmes.
To provide better support for study and work placements in terms of subject-specific guidance, organisation and reflection.
To strengthen Internationalisation@Home, for example through digital modules and English-language courses.
Further develop AI literacy and critical media literacy in teacher training.
Raise the profile of the internationalisation of teacher training within the university, the state and the network.
In particular, to teacher training students and staff at Ludwigsburg University of Education, as well as to partner universities and schools abroad.
Our ‘Major Topics’ are the themes that define our project. These include, for example, migration, diversity, inclusion, sustainability, digitisation, AI and critical reflection. These themes will always feature in our initiatives.
A key new feature of INVITE 2.0 is that the project has a significantly broader and more structured scope. It incorporates all teacher training programmes, expands the international partner network to include Cluj-Napoca (Romania), embeds mobility within the curriculum, and sets new priorities in the areas of AI, digital teaching, critical reflection and the long-term support of study abroad placements.
