This session reflects on The Box, a performative workshop developed within the international collaboration between Oslo Metropolitan University and Ludwigsburg University of Education. Drawing on theatre pedagogy and democratic education, the workshop invited students and participants at Drama Boreale Helsinki 2026 to experience democracy as a lived practice through collective decision-making, reflection, and artistic exploration. Furthermore, we will explore how performative approaches can create spaces for intercultural encounters, negotiation, and shared learning across linguistic and cultural borders.
