This talk introduces the international network "Geographies of Childhood in Teacher Education" (GCTE), which explores how the places and communities children grow up in can shape their lives and learning. It shows how project-based community engagement with local schools and organisations connects academic study with lived environments. Drawing on examples from diverse contexts, it discusses what cross-border collaboration can mean for more participatory and equitable partnerships between education and communities.
The lecture will be given by Christoph Knoblauch (Ludwigsburg University of Education).
